VEJA-LEE Petuha was the first baby born at Portland District Health in 2013, although parents Nikita Wallace and Tete Petuha are from Walcha, New South Wales.

Mr Petuha, a shearer, and Ms Wallace welcomed Vela-Lee to the world on Wednesday morning, weighing 3140 grams.
Ms Wallace said her baby was expected on January 27, but she had decided she wanted to be born early.
Although the couple come to Victoria every year for work, Ms Wallace said this was their first stay in Portland and she expected to return to Walcha in February.Veja- Lee joins brother Jahrion, 2, and sister Xaphyn, 1.
