End Of Financial Year Appeal

Friday, 17 June 2016
Portland District Health’s motto ‘your health service, our community’ reflects how the health service is part of the local community.

PDH is there for local people and in turn hopes local people will be there to support their health service.

Everyone realises that public health services across Australia, particularly in rural areas, work within increasingly tight budgets.

The support of the local community is vitally important for PDH to continue to provide excellent care.

This could be reflected in using PDH as your first choice option for health care. The `it's ok to ask' campaign continues to encourage local people to use their local health service wherever possible.

Financial donations are also welcomed. Donations either large or small are deeply appreciated and will help patients to have a more comfortable experience in hospital.

As the end of the financial year draws close, PDH would is asking the community to consider a donation to help provide care for more than 12,000 people in the year ahead.

A general donation towards continuing to provide the excellent care would be gratefully received, as would a donation towards vital medical equipment.

General donations, no matter what the amount, are welcomed. All donations can be submitted directly through main reception at PDH.

PDH community engagement and fundraising officer Carolyn Malseed said no amount was too small and people, businesses or groups could specify how they want their donations to be spent.

We are happy to take donations from individuals, businesses, local service groups and charitable organisations and appreciate that anything people can contribute. Ms Malseed said.

All donations of $2.00 or more are tax deductible and so we encourage local people and groups to consider supporting PDH before the end of the financial year.
