The Balmoral Mens Shed has just received notification of a $30,000 grant received through the Victorian Coalition Government to conduct upgrades on the building.

The Nationals member for Lowan Hugh Delahunty and Nationals candidate for Lowan Emma Kealy visited the Balmoral Mens Shed to announce the $30,000 contribution by the Government for works to be carried out on the shared facility for the Mens Shed and the Angling Club. The Balmoral Bush Nursing Centre coordinate and manage the Mens Shed program and will manage the project on behalf of the Mens Shed.

The funds will enable improvements to the facility to be undertaken to incorporate disabled access and handrails, double door access to the building, improved toilet facilities,  renovate the kitchen, and undertake some basic building maintenance. These improvements will greatly benefit group members and help ensure that Health, Safety and Disability guidelines continue to be met.

The Mens Shed program is open to all members of the community and we welcome anyone to contact the Balmoral Bush Nursing Centre on 5570 1304 for more information or come along to our Thursday afternoon get togethers and take part in the broad range of activities undertaken.
