TOPS Op Shop Success

The wider Timboon community is already feeling the benefits of the TOPS Op Shop, which opened just one month ago. Thanks to large community support the Timboon TOPS Opportunity Shop have been able to purchase a Symphony Breat Pump for use by new mothers attending Timboon and District Healthcare Service.  The Symphony Breast Pump is the only research based breast pump, with technology designed to mimic a baby's natural feeding rhythm. It features a stimulation cycle prior to automatically changing into slower pumping rhythm to express milk gently and efficiently, and ensuring maximum comfort and gentleness to the breast tissue. The Symphony Breast Pump follows the highest quality and safety standards aligned to infection control and best practice standards which is essential when purchasing any new equipment.
The breast pump cost $3,000 and has already been in demand for mothers at Timboon and District Healthcare Service. The breast pump is available for new mothers attending the hospital and is a great addition to the lactation service supporting mothers to breast feed in the community.
The purchase of the Symphony Breast Pump  will be the first of many pieces of useful equipment that can be purchased for Timboon and District Healthcare Service due to Timboon TOPS Opportunity Shop, the valuable volunteers and community support.
