Timboon and District Healthcare Service receive bronze award at the Australasian Reporting Awards held in Melbourne on Thursday 9th June 2011.

At the 61st awards night of the Australasian Reporting Awards held in Melbourne last week Timboon & District Healthcare Service were awarded a bronze for the second year in succession. The 2010 Annual Report was judged by the panel to have met the relevant criteria by:

Providing a balanced and reasonable picture of the organisations economic, environmental, and social performance.
Facilitate comparability, benchmarking and assessment of performance; and
Address issues of concern to stakeholders.

The Australasian Reporting Awards is an independent not-for-profit organisation supported by business, community and professional bodies to recognise quality in financial and business reporting.

Many business, government, local government, hospitals and community organisations throughout Australia and New Zealand submit their Annual Reports for assessment against benchmark criteria for quality reporting.

In receiving a Bronze Award CEO Wayne Weaire said that “our 2010 Annual Report was of high quality and it is thanks to input by all Timboon and District Healthcare Staff that we were able to submit a report that has been viewed positively by an independent judging panel”. This Award is a significant achievement for a small organisation.
