THE BEST EXOTIC MARIGOLD HOTEL

Public
Thursday 22 March 2012 - Thursday 22 March 2012
This film is our SWH Warrnambool Ladies Auxiliary’s first fundraiser for 2012. And it’s the very first day it will be screened anywhere in Australia!

It’s about a group of British retirees who decide to ‘outsource’ their retirement to less expensive and seemingly exotic India. Enticed by advertisements for the newly restored Marigold Hotel and bolstered with visions of a life of leisure, they arrive to find the palace a shell of its former self. Though the new environment is less luxurious than imagined, they are forever transformed by their shared experiences, discovering that life and love can begin again when you let go of the past.

The veteran cast is top notch. It includes Judi Dench, Maggie Smith, Bill Nighy and Tom Wilkinson.

The Auxiliary will serve morning tea at 10 and the film will start at 11. Tickets are $15. You can get yours by contacting co-president Margot Johnson on 5562 4664.

  • Event Date: Thursday 22 March 2012 - Thursday 22 March 2012
  • Times: 10 for morning tea. The film starts at 11.
  • Venue: Capitol Cinema, Warrnambool
  • Enquiries: Margot Johnson on 5562 4664
