Overlooking the picturesque Portland bay, Portland Sea View House is a Supported Residential Service (S.R.S).
Portland Sea View House was opened on the 16th of October 2002 and offers supported accommodation for 58 residents. We have 52 single rooms and 3 double rooms, all have access to en-suite.
Our facility offers a variety of services to our residents, some of which include :
- Individual care with caring staff in a homely environment.
- Visiting medical health professionals.
- Respite accommodation welcomed.
- Easy access to town centre and hospital.
- Optional onsite activity group.
- Library with computer and internet access.
- Pay T.V and facilities for own T.V.
- Telephone and internet access in all rooms.
Services offered
Include individual rooms with:
- En-suite facilities.
- Pay TV.
- Telephone (no monthly rental fees).
- Furnishings provided including bed, chair, table, cupboard space.
- Internet access.
- Facilities for own television.
Respite:
Short term accommodation and care available for:
- Post acute hospital care.
- Participation in a rehabilitation program.
- Rest/Holiday.
- Residents do not require an assessment by aged care service and all persons of adult age are eligible to be a resident.
- Sea View House provides low level support and security with each of our residents.
- Sea View House is committed to maintaining quality of life and treating each resident with respect and dignity.
We offer you:
- Individualised care in a homely environment for each resident.
- Full hotel service with central dining area.
- Facilities for laundering personal clothing.
- Comfortable sitting rooms with tea-making facilities and sea views.
- Visiting medical practitioners, allied health practitioners and district nurses as required.
- Optional on-site activity groups.
- A relaxed environment where residents’ families are welcome.
- Wheelchair-access to all rooms and areas.
- Spectacular sea and harbour views.
- Easy access to town centre, hospital and other services.
- Personal Care Staff are on duty 24hours per day to provide supervision and assistance with daily living.

Sea View House operates under the Supported Residential Services Regulations, controlled by the Department of Human Services Victoria.
We have been approved and registered by the Department of Human Services to provide residential aged care services to people requiring low to medium level of care.
The fees and charges you will be asked to pay are considered reasonable, details can be obtained from our Care Co-ordinator.
Neither the State nor Commonwealth Government provides funds to Sea View House.
