



The Urgent Care service provides 24 hour access to assessment, care and triage provided by acute nursing staff.
Medical services are provided by the general practice co-located on the site. Doctors are on call after hours and may charge a fee for the service.
Lorne Community Hospital has an average of 2500 presentations per year.

Acute Care
Lorne Community Hospital has a 4 bed acute care area with 24 hour division one nursing staff and medical support from the on site General Practice Clinic.
Lorne Community Hospital promotes inlcusive care and discharge planning. All rooms overlook the ocean promoting early recovery.
Private respite and Restorative care is available with a multidisplinary team approach to care. Weekly team meetings are held to enhance the patient goal process.

They are designed to assist communication between emergency department clinicians and patients and/or carers.
