Catering
Lorne Community Hospital provides onsite catering services for Patients, Residents, Meals on Wheels clients and the Elderly Citizens club.
All meals are prepared fresh daily by a very dedicated team. Annually we undergo certification with our Food Safety Program.

Cleaning
Cleaning is conducted by in-house staff. The cleaning staff continue to achieve above benchmark results for audits which are a requirement of the Cleaning standards. This result is reported via the Victorian Government Infectious Diseases website, “IDEAS”

Maintenance
The facility and equipment is maintained by a preventative maintenance program which is conducted in house along with contracted services for equipment to meet required standards.

Waste Management
Lorne Community Hospital is an active member of the Resource Smart program. The Resource Smart program is there to assist us to develop an effective environmental management program, as well as providing the tools, resources and networking to maintain it.
Lorne Community Hospital actively participates in co-mingle recycling and was instrumental in obtaining a commercial recycling program for the businesses of Lorne.

Meals on Wheels
The core business of a “Meals On Wheels” program is to provide service to people at nutritional risk and to monitor their physical and social well-being.
Meals Victoria (Victorian Meals on Wheels Association Incorporated) is dedicated to the continuous improvement, promotion, and sharing of information and ideas for all Meals on Wheels providers throughout metropolitan and regional Victoria. It is our aim to raise the public profile of this valuable service and acknowledge the efforts of the paid and volunteer workforce that help deliver this service.
