Before the official part of the evening began, our guests were treated to complimentary champagne & hors d'oeuvres and music by a local pianist.
The CMH Community Function Room had been turned into an impromptu theatre for the evening. This allowed our guests to join women across Australia in a live webcast being held by the Jean Hailes Foundation in Melbourne.
Guest speakers included Dr John D'Arcy (Presenter, Health Matters), Dr Rosie King (Sexual Health Physician & Author) & Dr Elizabeth Farrell (Gynaecologists, Jean Hailes Foundation).
Topics covered included; sexual health, libido, hormones, sleep, emotions & general women's health & well being. At the conclusion of the webcast one of Casterton's local General Practitioners, Dr Greta Prozesky answered questions from the floor, which gave our guests an opportunity to tailor the night to suit their needs.
Over supper, women were given the opportunity to ask health professions individual questions and access to women’s health information and resources.
The event proved to be a great success with approximately 100 local women in attendance. CMH would like to take this opportunity to thank the many local businesses who donated some wonderful prizes and the many women who attended making the event so worthwhile.
