Mrs Sue Nolte, Registered Nurse and Nurse Unit Manager of the Casterton Memorial Hospital District Nursing Service is retiring from her position after 35 years of dedicated service to the Casterton and District Community.
Sue commenced duties at C.M.H. on the 16TH April, 1977 as a Registered Nurse and worked her way through to Charge Nurse District Nursing and on to her eventual position of Nurse Unit Manager of the District Nursing Service.
The role of District Nurse is a very important role in a rural community as Casterton and District and requires expert nursing care, individual planning for clients and liaison with many other community and health professionals in management of a client’s needs.
Sue has provided this care over many years in an exemplary manner on behalf of the Casterton Memorial Hospital District Nursing Team.
The C.M.H. District Nursing Service under Sue’s management on average treats some 540 individuals per year in the community, totalling up some 25,700 km’s in performing over 5,000 individual visits.
Sue was awarded C.M.H. Employee of the year in 2002 for her services under the District Nursing team, an acknowledgement from her peers on behalf of her work colleagues.
The District Nursing Service is indeed an integral part of assisting people to remain in their own homes whilst providing them the support with their care needs.
On behalf of the Board of Management, staff, work colleagues and community the Casterton Memorial Hospital acknowledges Sue’s dedication and quality of services to the many individuals she has assisted over the past 35 years of dedicated service.
We wish Sue all the best in her well earned retirement.
